VICTORIA L. NELSON

Victoria L. Nelson practices primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation.  Her bankruptcy practice has focused primarily on representation of creditors rights and she is an experienced commercial litigator with broad practice in creditors remedies.

Born in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania; admitted to bar, 1990, Pennsylvania; 1994, Nevada and U.S. District of Nevada; 1994, U.S. Tax Court. Education: Pennsylvania State University, (B.S. Accounting, 1987); Ohio Northern University, (J.D., 1990); American Juris Prudence Award in Federal Taxation, Estate Planning and Taxation of Corporations and Shareholders; National Finalist Moot Court Client Counseling Competition, Who’s Who Among American Law Students. Member: State Bar of Nevada, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Commercial Law League of America, Southern Nevada Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys, American Bankruptcy Institute, and Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys.

In 2001, Ms. Nelson was informed by the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification that she had successfully passed the examination for Board Certification in Business Bankruptcy.  Currently, there are only 16 attorneys in the State of Nevada who have achieved this status.

A frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and creditor’s rights remedies, Ms. Nelson’s copyrighted materials include Collection of Judgments, Bankruptcy in Nevada, and PACA Claims in Bankruptcy.
