JASON SMITH

A native of Bettendorf, Iowa, Jason Smith received his B.B.A. degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of Iowa in 2001 where he was also a member and captain of the Hawkeye basketball team.  Prior to law school, Jason was a commercial real estate leasing associate for developer Equity Growth Group, LLC, in Bettendorf, Iowa.  Jason received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2005 where he was a member of the Journal of Corporation Law and Secretary of the Phi Delta Phi Fraternity.  Jason was also one of two students chosen by the University Provost to serve on the College of Law Dean Search Committee in 2003-04.  Jason studied abroad in the College of Law’s Iowa-Bordeaux Comparative Law program in Arcachon, France, in 2004.

Jason participated in Santoro, Driggs, Walch, Kearney, Holley & Thompson’s summer clerk program in 2004 before joining the firm as an Associate in 2005.  He currently practices in the firm’s commercial litigation department.   Jason is a member of the Nevada Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Jason’s personal interests include golfing, spending time with his wife Courtney, and watching college and professional sports.
