DENNIS R. HANEY 
Mr. Haney is an AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review
Rated shareholder of the firm with over 40 years of legal
experience. He was born in San Francisco, California in
1943, relocated to Nevada in 1956, and graduated from Las
Vegas High School in 1960. Mr. Haney attended the
University of Nevada, Reno, graduating in 1964, and went on
to attend the University of Utah College of Law, graduated
in 1967. He was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in the
same year. At present, he is also a member of the
California State Bar and is licensed to practice before the
following courts: United States District Court, District of
Nevada, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United
States Tax Court, and the Supreme Court of the United
States.
Mr. Haney served in the United States Armed Forces from
1967 - 1969. He received a Bronze Star and the Legion of
Merit, and is a most distinguished veteran.
Mr. Haney's current and past professional memberships and
associations include: Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators for
the American Arbitration Association, the Regional
Construction Industry Advisory Committee, Las Vegas Advisory
Council of the American Arbitration Association, Client
Security Fund for the State Bar of Nevada (Chairman 1989 -
1992), American Bar Association (Chairman Public Contracts,
State of Nevada 1983 - present), and Form Sub-Committee of
the Construction Committee (1976 - present).
Mr. Haney
authored Nevada Construction Law and Mechanics' Lien Law and
is a recognized lecturer and speaker throughout the western
region. He has taught classes and seminars in construction
law for the State of Nevada, Arizona State Bar Association,
Clark County Bar Association, University of Nevada, Las
Vegas, Professional Education Systems, Inc., Law Seminars
International and Clark County Community College. He has
also guest lectured at local high schools and civil
organizations. He has served as counsel for the Nevada
State Contractor's Board for many years.
